How to Use Vi Translator

Vi Translator helps you learn a new language with flashcards. Here is how to get started in a few simple steps.

  1. 1

    Set your languages

Open your profile and choose your native language and the language you want to learn. The app then shows you the collections and cards that match this pair.

  2. 2

    Create a collection

A collection is a themed set of cards, such as Food or Verbs. Create one from the Collections page and give it a name and a language.

  3. 3

    Add cards

Inside a collection, add cards with a word or phrase on the front and its translation on the back.

  4. 4

    Study by flipping cards

Click any card to flip it and reveal the translation. Use the Back side button to flip every card on the page at once.

  5. 5

    Explore and copy cards

The Cards page lists cards from every user. Found a useful one? Copy it into one of your own collections with the Add to button.

  6. 6

    Import and export (CSV)

Move cards in and out as CSV files from the My Cards menu or from any collection — handy for backups or adding many cards at once.

  7. 7

    Search anytime

Use the search box on the Collections and Cards pages to quickly find a deck or a specific word.
